Artist Clemens Behr

October 12, 2009

Using cardboard, paint and tape artist Clemens Behr fabricates spontaneous installations in the galleries, back alleys and subways of Europe.  In constructions that seem to nod to Synthetic Cubism, Behr dismantles banal materials and then reassembles them in abstracted forms.  In contrast to old-school Cubism, Behr’s assemblages are not flat but built upon one another to protrude dramatically into space.
