Tadashi Kawamata | Gandamaison

January 6, 2010

A flood of fruit and vegetable crates surge over the Baroque architecture of La Maréchalerie in Versailles in this 2008 installation by artist Tadashi Kawamata.  The fitting name of the epic work, Gandamaison, is the product of joining the Japanese word for Transform (Gandam) and the French word for House (Maison).
