La Maitresse de la Tour Eiffel

February 23, 2010

French conceptual artist Michel de Broin suspended a disco ball with 1000 mirrors from a crane 50 meters above the Jardin du Luxembourg for Nuit Blanche in Paris.  The spectacle cast patterns of mesmerizing white light across the facade of the Luxembourg Palace, parterre and the delighted onlookers surrounding the central basin.  (Hint:  Hover over the image below and click the pop-up link to watch the Vimeo footage of this event.)
