Anthropodino | Ernesto Neto

July 14, 2010

Brazilian artist Ernesto Neto’s biomorphic sculpture Anthropodino, expands like a silken web from the soaring 80-foot high ceiling of the Drill Hall of the Park Avenue Armory.  The hundreds of yards of stretched Lycra tulle are tethered to the floor by bulbs of turmeric, clove, ginger, black pepper, and cumin, creating an ethereal, sensory environment.
