A set of multiple-exposure prints featuring the macro-lens photography of desert landscapes overlapping the low resolution MRI scans of a human fetuses, flow into unearthly hallucinatory forms in Josephine Pryde’s series entitled “It’s Not My Body”

The series references advances in contemporary medical imaging techniques, the use of photography in contemporary visual culture, and the political currency of such images upon the civic debates regarding ‘personhood’.
