Requiem for the Sun | The Art of Mono-ha

The short-lived 20th century Japanese art movement Mono-ha (1968 to 1973) has been translated from the original Japanese as “School of Things.” Natural elements like rocks, sand, wood and cotton, are juxtaposed with industrial objects fabricated of glass and metal, in situational groupings that reiterate Japanese traditions of ceremony, balance and simplicity.
