Erik Lindman | Impersonal Beauty

August 13, 2012

Objects with impersonal beauty, discarded by artists, workers, or bums become work surfaces to artist Erik Lindman.  After transforming the source material through the labor of his editing, he hangs the remnants like paintings, reiterating the aesthetic traditions of drawing and painting.

“This attitude to attention to what is already in front of you as you live your life has guided these paintings of mine. The materials I find are the drawings on the tip of my tongue.”

Erik Lindman
